Final Solution
The final solution is in the hands of Congress
and the President. My suggestion is
that Congress and the President authorize a Plebiscite in Puerto Rico, where
only two status options are considered. The
options should be Statehood or Independence.
The recent “Report By The President’s
Task Force On Puerto Rico’s Status” that came out in December 2005
includes “The Colony” as an option, which is like telling all
African-Americans that if they want to become slaves again, they could.
There seems to be no way out of this indignity.
